DEPARTMENTAL PROFILE:

The Sanskrit Department of Chilarai College, Golakganj is an integral part of the institute which has been spreading progressive and advance education to the Pupils. The department was established in year 2006. The Department provides the students quality education so that they can go for Major (Hons’) and General (Regular) courses. The Pupils join in different co- curricular activities. The department is conducted under the able guidance of Mr. Rupak Adhikary, H.O.D, Assistant Professor (Non- Sanctioned), and Dr. Nipam Nath Dev Sarma, Assistant Professor (Non-Sanctioned). The Department also has a departmental library with valuable text books and references.

Mission:

• The mission of the Department is to popularize Sanskrit language as well as Sanskrit culture.

٭One of the purposes of the Department is to empower the students and prepare them to face the challenges of real life.

• The Department has been facilitating the learners to build their career and develop their character.
• Enable the student community to meet the future challenges with the Sanskrit literature, language, ethics, moral & allied vocational disciplines.
   

Vision:

The vision of the Department is to make acquainted the students with the concepts of different disciplines like Scientific literature

,ancient astronomy , Astrology, Vastu-vidya, Philology, Philosophy etc. and inculcating among themselves moral values which is considered to be the Sanatana values of India, as Indian believes in the saying “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.

Future Plan:

1. We plan to arrange a couple of awareness camp or seminars for the benefit of society and create interest in perusing Sanskrit.
2. We have a plan to develop our departmental library with our sincere effort in collaboration with college authority.
3. The department has been instrumental in motivating young students to develop future carrier in Sanskrit by proceeding for further studies.
4. We have a plan to involve the advance learner of the department in extensive research related activities
5. We have to plan to promote Smart Class Learning for the Students.
